Danielle Smith, Psy.D.
Danielle Smith, Psy.D. has served as the Jericho High School psychologist for over 18 years. Due to her thirst for knowledge and pleasure in collaborating with others, in 2015 she co-founded the Long Island Mindfulness and Resiliency Consortium (LIMARC) to encourage mental health practitioners, school district administrators, and teachers to develop and implement K-12 innovative programs that foster resilience in children and adolescents. She has advanced training in several mindfulness and resiliency-based programs. Additionally, Dr. Smith is a consultant with various school districts on how to develop and implement such programs within their school environments. She has presented her research on “Learning to Breathe Program as a Tiered 1 Intervention” and “Mindfulness, Mindfulness, Mindfulness…Now What” at the New York Association of School Psychologist (NYASP) 2015 and 2017 Annual Conferences. She continues to seek out mindfulness retreats and maintains her own meditation and yoga practices. Dr. Smith is certified as a Koru Instructor, 200 hour Yoga Teacher and Relax & Renew Restorative Yoga Teacher. She may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
